Ingredients

  • Edamame (in pods) - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Chili flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped

Steps

  1. In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the edamame pods. Cook for 5 minutes until tender and bright green.
  2. Drain the edamame and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked edamame to the skillet, followed by the soy sauce, chili flakes, and salt. Stir well to coat the edamame evenly.
  5. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with black sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
