- Brussels sprouts - 300 grams
- Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
- Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Honey - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
- In a large bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts with vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown, stirring halfway through.
- While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the sauce by mixing together the minced garlic, gochugaru, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
- Once the Brussels sprouts are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
- Pour the chili garlic sauce over the roasted Brussels sprouts and toss until they are well coated.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
