Ingredients

  • Brussels sprouts - 300 grams
  • Garlic - 4 cloves, minced
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts with vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer and roast in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown, stirring halfway through.
  5. While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the sauce by mixing together the minced garlic, gochugaru, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
  6. Once the Brussels sprouts are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  7. Pour the chili garlic sauce over the roasted Brussels sprouts and toss until they are well coated.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
