Ingredients

  • Tteok (Korean rice cakes) - 200 grams
  • Cheddar cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, shredded
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Chicken breast - 150 grams, cooked and shredded
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - 300 ml

Steps

  1. In a pot, combine water, gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Add the tteok to the pot and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they soften and absorb the sauce.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and slowly mix in the cheddar and mozzarella cheese until melted and well combined.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve hot.
