Ingredients

  • Swiss chard - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon, toasted
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 1 liter

Steps

  1. Bring 1 liter of water to a boil in a pot.
  2. Wash the Swiss chard thoroughly and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Once the water is boiling, add the chopped Swiss chard and blanch for 2-3 minutes until tender.
  4. Drain the Swiss chard and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process. Squeeze out excess water.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine the blanched Swiss chard with minced garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, and salt to taste.
  6. Toss everything together until the chard is well-coated with the seasoning.
  7. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top before serving.
