- Seitan - 200 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
- Red bell pepper - 1 medium, sliced
- Broccoli - 100 grams, cut into florets
- Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- Mushrooms (shiitake or button) - 100 grams, sliced
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Water - 100 ml
- Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the seitan with soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add the marinated seitan. Stir-fry for 5 minutes until slightly browned.
- Add the carrots, red bell pepper, broccoli, and mushrooms to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry. Add it to the skillet and stir well, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with chopped green onions, black sesame seeds, and cilantro before serving.
