Ingredients

  • Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Sugar - 30 grams
  • Red bean paste - 50 grams
  • Cornstarch - 20 grams
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - a pinch

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Gradually add water while stirring to form a smooth batter.
  3. Grease a steaming dish or plate lightly with oil, then pour the batter into it.
  4. Steam the batter over boiling water for about 15 minutes, or until it becomes translucent.
  5. Remove the steamed batter and let it cool slightly, then knead it with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
  6. Divide the dough into small portions and flatten each one in your palm.
  7. Place about a teaspoon of red bean paste in the center of each disc, then fold the edges over and roll into a ball.
  8. Roll each ball in sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature.
