- Glutinous rice flour - 100 grams
- Water - 100 ml
- Sugar - 30 grams
- Red bean paste - 50 grams
- Cornstarch - 20 grams
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the glutinous rice flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add water while stirring to form a smooth batter.
- Grease a steaming dish or plate lightly with oil, then pour the batter into it.
- Steam the batter over boiling water for about 15 minutes, or until it becomes translucent.
- Remove the steamed batter and let it cool slightly, then knead it with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
- Divide the dough into small portions and flatten each one in your palm.
- Place about a teaspoon of red bean paste in the center of each disc, then fold the edges over and roll into a ball.
- Roll each ball in sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
