Ingredients

  • Beef brisket (thinly sliced) - 300 g
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 15 ml
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 stalks
  • Mushrooms (shiitake or enoki) - 100 g
  • Zucchini (sliced) - 100 g
  • Carrot (julienned) - 100 g
  • Lettuce leaves (for wrapping) - 4 large leaves
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 15 g
  • Rice (cooked) - 1 cup

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef brisket to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables by slicing the zucchini and julienning the carrot. Clean and slice the mushrooms.
  4. Heat a grill pan or frying pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef brisket in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  5. In the same pan, add the mushrooms, zucchini, and carrot, and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes until tender.
  6. To serve, place the grilled beef and vegetables on a plate alongside lettuce leaves. Add a dollop of gochujang for spice and serve with cooked rice.
