- Kimchi - 100 grams (for serving)
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 1 tablespoon (for dipping)
- Rice - 150 grams (cooked, for serving)
Steps
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, sugar, black pepper, and chopped green onions to create the marinade.
- Add the thinly sliced beef brisket to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef slices in a single layer. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- While grilling, toast the sesame seeds in a small pan over low heat until golden brown. Set aside.
- Once the beef is cooked, remove it from the grill and let it rest for a minute before serving.
- To serve, arrange the grilled beef on a platter with lettuce leaves, sliced cucumbers, and kimchi. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top.
- Use the lettuce leaves to wrap the beef along with cucumber and kimchi, and serve with gochujang on the side for dipping.
