Ingredients
- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 60 ml
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
- Green onion, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Mushrooms, sliced - 100 grams
- Bell pepper, cut into chunks - 1 medium
- Zucchini, cut into chunks - 1 small
- Skewers (wooden or metal) - 4-6 pieces
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into 2 cm cubes.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Add the tofu cubes to the marinade and let them soak for at least 15 minutes, turning occasionally for even flavor absorption.
- While the tofu marinates, prepare the vegetables by cutting the mushrooms, bell pepper, and zucchini into similar-sized pieces.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Thread the marinated tofu and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between tofu and veggies.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the tofu is slightly charred and the vegetables are tender.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot, optionally garnished with additional green onions.
