Ingredients

  • beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • gluten-free soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • bell pepper - 1 small, sliced
  • cooked rice - 2 cups
  • egg - 2, for frying
  • sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
  • salt - to taste
  • pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and half of the chopped green onion. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  3. In the same skillet, add the julienned carrot and sliced bell pepper. Sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  4. While the beef and vegetables are cooking, in a separate pan, fry the eggs sunny-side up to your liking.
  5. To assemble the rice bowl, place 1 cup of cooked rice in each bowl. Top with the sautéed beef and vegetables, then add a fried egg on top.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and the remaining chopped green onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
