- beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
- gluten-free soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
- brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
- sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
- carrot - 1 small, julienned
- bell pepper - 1 small, sliced
- cooked rice - 2 cups
- egg - 2, for frying
- sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish
- salt - to taste
- pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine gluten-free soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and half of the chopped green onion. Add the sliced beef and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
- In the same skillet, add the julienned carrot and sliced bell pepper. Sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- While the beef and vegetables are cooking, in a separate pan, fry the eggs sunny-side up to your liking.
- To assemble the rice bowl, place 1 cup of cooked rice in each bowl. Top with the sautéed beef and vegetables, then add a fried egg on top.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and the remaining chopped green onion. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
