Ingredients

  • Beef flank steak - 250 grams, thinly sliced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Bell pepper - 1, thinly sliced
  • Shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar) - 100 grams
  • Flour tortillas - 2 large
  • Cooking oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, mixing well to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, add the cooking oil and sauté the marinated beef for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  5. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper and chopped green onions, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are tender.
  6. On a large flour tortilla, spread half of the cooked bulgogi mixture, then sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
  7. Fold the tortilla in half to create a quesadilla, pressing down gently.
  8. Repeat the process with the second tortilla and remaining ingredients.
  9. Place the quesadillas on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from the oven, slice into wedges, and serve hot.
