Ingredients

  • Shiitake mushrooms - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 10 ml
  • Brown sugar - 10 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Scallions, chopped - 2 stalks
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Vegetable oil - 15 ml
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Cooked rice - 2 cups
  • Mixed salad greens - 100 grams

Steps

  1. Clean the shiitake mushrooms and slice them into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped scallions, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are cooked through and slightly caramelized.
  5. While the mushrooms are cooking, prepare the rice as per package instructions if not already cooked.
  6. To serve, place a cup of cooked rice on each plate, top with the sautéed bulgogi mushrooms, and garnish with sesame seeds and a side of mixed salad greens.
