Ingredients

  • beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • soy sauce - 30 ml
  • sesame oil - 10 ml
  • brown sugar substitute (erythritol) - 1 tablespoon
  • garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • lettuce leaves (butter or romaine) - 6 large leaves
  • carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • cucumber - 1 small, julienned
  • sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar substitute, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized.
  4. While the beef is cooking, prepare the lettuce leaves, carrot, and cucumber for serving.
  5. To serve, place a spoonful of the cooked bulgogi in the center of each lettuce leaf, top with julienned carrot and cucumber, and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
  6. Wrap the lettuce around the filling and enjoy your Bulgogi Lettuce Wraps!
