Ingredients

  • Brown sugar substitute (erythritol) - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Carrot - 1 small, julienned
  • Lettuce leaves (Butter or Romaine) - 8 leaves
  • Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon, toasted

Steps

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar substitute, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently until the beef is cooked through.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions and julienned carrots.
  5. To serve, take a lettuce leaf and spoon a portion of the beef mixture into the center. Top with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds.
