Ingredients

  • Sweet potatoes - 2 medium (about 400g)
  • Ground beef - 300g
  • Soy sauce (or coconut aminos for Paleo) - 3 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
  • Ginger (minced) - 1 teaspoon
  • Brown sugar (or coconut sugar for Paleo) - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Avocado oil - for frying

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into fries. Toss them in a bowl with avocado oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread the sweet potato fries on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, brown sugar, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for about 5 minutes.
  5. In a pan over medium heat, cook the marinated beef for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  6. Once the fries are done, remove them from the oven and place them on plates.
  7. Top the sweet potato fries with the cooked bulgogi beef.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
