Ingredients

  • Cooked white rice - 2 cups
  • Beef sirloin - 200 grams, thinly sliced
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 2 teaspoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Carrot - 1 small, diced
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Frozen peas - 1/2 cup
  • Vegetable oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the beef slices with soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the diced carrots and peas, and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Add the cooked rice to the skillet and mix well with the vegetables. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the rice is heated through.
  5. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and mix everything together. Add the chopped green onions and sauté for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Serve the Bulgogi Fried Rice hot, garnished with sesame seeds and extra green onions if desired.
