Ingredients

  • Napa cabbage - 300 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 100 milliliters
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Salt - to taste

Steps

  1. Wash the Napa cabbage thoroughly and cut it into quarters, then chop each quarter into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, sautéing until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Add the chopped Napa cabbage to the skillet and toss to coat with the garlic and ginger.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and water, then sprinkle the red pepper flakes over the cabbage.
  6. Cover the skillet and let the cabbage braise for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it becomes tender.
  7. Once the cabbage is cooked, taste and add salt if needed. Stir in the chopped green onions.
  8. Serve warm as a side dish.
