Ingredients
- Sweet rice flour (glutinous rice flour) - 200 grams
- Water - 150 ml
- Sugar - 50 grams
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon
- Carrot (finely chopped) - 30 grams
- Green onion (finely chopped) - 15 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine sweet rice flour, sugar, and salt. Gradually add water while stirring to create a smooth batter.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add vegetable oil. Sauté the chopped carrot and green onion for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Push the sautéed vegetables to one side of the skillet. Crack the egg into the skillet and scramble it until fully cooked, then mix it with the vegetables.
- Pour the rice flour batter into the skillet over the vegetables and egg. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, gently stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thick and sticky.
- Once the mixture has thickened, transfer it to a greased dish or mold, spreading it evenly. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
- After cooling, slice the mixture into squares or rectangles. Heat a little oil in the skillet again and fry the tteok on each side for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve warm or at room temperature.
