Ingredients

  • Bell pepper (any color) - 1 medium (about 100 grams), thinly sliced
  • Onion - 1 small (about 70 grams), thinly sliced
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, toasted
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sliced onion to the skillet, sautéing until the onion becomes translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the julienned carrot, zucchini, and bell pepper, and stir-fry for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  4. Slice the eomuk into bite-sized pieces and add them to the skillet, stirring well to combine with the vegetables.
  5. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, and gochugaru, then pour this sauce over the stir-fry.
  6. Continue to stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes, ensuring everything is well coated in the sauce.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onion and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
