Ingredients

  • Ground beef (kosher) - 400 grams
  • Soy sauce (kosher) - 30 ml
  • Sesame oil - 15 ml
  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Burger buns (kosher) - 2
  • Cooked white rice - 100 grams
  • Carrot, julienned - 1 small
  • Cucumber, thinly sliced - 1 small
  • Spinach, blanched - 50 grams
  • Radish, thinly sliced - 50 grams
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 30 grams
  • Mayonnaise - 30 grams
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Scallions, chopped - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Form into 2 equal patties.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the gochujang mayo by mixing gochujang and mayonnaise in a small bowl. Adjust the spice level to taste.
  4. Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet until lightly golden.
  5. Assemble the burger by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a scoop of cooked white rice, followed by julienned carrots, sliced cucumber, blanched spinach, and sliced radishes.
  6. Drizzle the gochujang mayo over the vegetables, then sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped scallions before placing the top half of the bun.
