- Barley grains - 100 grams
- Water - 1 liter
Steps
- Rinse the barley grains under cold water to remove any impurities.
- In a dry skillet over medium heat, roast the rinsed barley grains for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until they turn golden brown and fragrant.
- Once roasted, transfer the barley to a pot and add 1 liter of water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve to separate the grains from the liquid.
- Serve the barley tea hot or let it cool and refrigerate for a refreshing iced version.
