Ingredients

  • Barley grains - 100 grams
  • Water - 1 liter

Steps

  1. Rinse the barley grains under cold water to remove any impurities.
  2. In a dry skillet over medium heat, roast the rinsed barley grains for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until they turn golden brown and fragrant.
  3. Once roasted, transfer the barley to a pot and add 1 liter of water.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and strain the tea through a fine mesh sieve to separate the grains from the liquid.
  6. Serve the barley tea hot or let it cool and refrigerate for a refreshing iced version.
