Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 2 tablespoons, toasted
  • Green onion - 1 stalk, chopped
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Olive oil - 1 teaspoon (for greasing)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the spinach for 1-2 minutes until wilted. Drain and cool under cold water, then squeeze out excess water and chop.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, minced garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce, toasted sesame seeds, chopped green onion, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Grease a baking dish with olive oil and transfer the spinach mixture into it, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy on top.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
