Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams
  • Doenjang (Korean soybean paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Cream cheese - 100 grams, softened
  • Grated mozzarella cheese - 50 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Spring onion - 1 stalk, chopped
  • Egg - 1 large

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the spinach for about 1-2 minutes until wilted, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, doenjang, minced garlic, sesame oil, black pepper, and chopped spring onion. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Add the blanched spinach to the cream cheese mixture, followed by the egg. Stir until everything is well combined.
  5. Transfer the spinach mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese on top of the spinach mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
