Ingredients

  • Fresh spinach - 200 grams
  • Eggs - 4 large
  • Milk - 60 ml
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Cheddar cheese - 50 grams, grated
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Gochugaru (Korean chili flakes) - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and gochugaru until well combined.
  5. Stir in the sautéed spinach mixture and half of the grated cheddar cheese into the egg mixture.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish (approximately 20x20 cm).
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with chopped green onions.
  10. Slice and serve warm.
