Ingredients

  • Chicken thighs - 400 grams
  • Soy sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Gochujang (Korean chili paste) - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic minced - 3 cloves
  • Ginger minced - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, gochujang, sesame oil, minced garlic, ginger, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt to create the marinade.
  3. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and coat them well. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes (or up to 1 hour in the refrigerator for more flavor).
  4. Place the marinated chicken thighs on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice glaze.
  6. Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
