Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 250 grams
  • Ground pork - 250 grams
  • Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Honey - 1 tablespoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Breadcrumbs - 50 grams
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Korean chili flakes (gochugaru) - 1 teaspoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, chopped green onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, honey, egg, breadcrumbs, black pepper, salt, and gochugaru.
  3. Mix the ingredients together until well combined, but do not overmix.
  4. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned on the outside.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds before serving, if desired.
