- Napa cabbage - 200 grams
- Sea salt - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Green onion - 1 stalk, finely chopped
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
- Sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon (optional)
Steps
- Rinse the Napa cabbage under cold water and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, sprinkle the sea salt over the cabbage and massage it gently for about 2-3 minutes until it starts to wilt.
- Let the salted cabbage sit for 5 minutes to draw out excess moisture.
- After 5 minutes, rinse the cabbage thoroughly under cold water to remove excess salt, then drain well.
- In a separate bowl, combine minced garlic, sesame oil, chopped green onion, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the drained cabbage to the bowl and mix well to coat the cabbage evenly with the seasoning.
- If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top and toss again.
- Serve immediately or let it sit for 10 minutes at room temperature for the flavors to meld.
