- Granulated sugar - 100 g
- Water - 250 ml
- Salt - a pinch
- Yuzu zest - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a small saucepan, combine the water and sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. This should take about 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
- Once cooled, add the yuzu juice, yuzu zest, and a pinch of salt to the syrup, mixing well to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer for about 2 hours.
- After 2 hours, use a fork to scrape the mixture, breaking up any ice crystals that have formed. Return to the freezer.
- Repeat the scraping process every 30 minutes until the sorbet is fully frozen and has a fluffy texture, about 2 to 3 hours more.
- Once ready, scoop the sorbet into bowls and serve immediately.
