- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
- Yuzu zest - 1 teaspoon
- Avocado, sliced - 1 small
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, yuzu juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, gluten-free breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal patties.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Once hot, add the chicken patties and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 75°C.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly if desired.
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise with yuzu zest to create a flavorful spread.
- Assemble the burgers by spreading the yuzu mayo on the bottom bun, adding a lettuce leaf, the cooked chicken patty, a slice of tomato, and avocado slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
