Ingredients

  • Cauliflower - 300 grams
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese - 150 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ground black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Ground beef (preferably Wagyu) - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Sliced green onions - 2 tablespoons
  • Sliced bell peppers (any color) - 50 grams
  • Sliced mushrooms - 50 grams
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Teriyaki sauce (sugar-free) - 2 tablespoons
  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. To make the cauliflower crust, steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
  3. Once cooled, rice the cauliflower using a food processor or cheese grater until it resembles grains.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine riced cauliflower, 100 grams of shredded mozzarella, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined pizza stone or baking sheet, forming a round crust about 1/2 inch thick.
  6. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and firm.
  7. While the crust is baking, heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  8. Stir in soy sauce, mirin, and teriyaki sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  9. Once the crust is ready, sprinkle the remaining 50 grams of mozzarella on top, followed by the cooked beef, sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, and sliced green onions.
  10. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, slice, and serve hot.
