Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 60 ml
  • Mirin - 30 ml
  • Sake - 30 ml
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, sliced
  • Bell pepper - 1, sliced
  • Zucchini - 1, sliced
  • Mixed salad greens - 100 grams

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil to create the marinade.
  2. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add it to the marinade. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables by slicing the shiitake mushrooms, bell pepper, and zucchini.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Remove the beef from the marinade and grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Add the sliced vegetables to the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
  7. Serve the grilled beef and vegetables over a bed of mixed salad greens, garnished with chopped green onions.
