Ingredients

  • Beef sirloin - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 4 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 2 tablespoons
  • Sake - 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Mixed bell peppers - 100 grams, sliced
  • Zucchini - 100 grams, sliced
  • Cooked white rice - 300 grams

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  2. Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and add to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the vegetables by slicing the bell peppers and zucchini.
  4. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and brush with sesame oil.
  5. Remove the beef from the marinade and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. In the same grill pan, add the sliced vegetables and grill for about 5 minutes until they are tender and slightly charred.
  7. Serve the grilled beef and vegetables over a bed of cooked white rice, and garnish with chopped green onions.
