Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 200 grams
  • Salmon fillet - 200 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Cooking spray or extra oil - for grilling

Steps

  1. Press the firm tofu to remove excess moisture for about 15 minutes, then cut it into 1 cm thick slices.
  2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create a marinade.
  3. Marinate the tofu slices in the sauce for at least 10 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  4. Season the salmon fillet with salt and black pepper.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly coat with cooking spray or oil.
  6. Grill the marinated tofu slices for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. In the same pan, add the seasoned salmon fillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and flaky.
  8. Plate the grilled tofu and salmon, garnishing with chopped green onions before serving.
