Steps
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Clean the shiitake mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt, then remove the stems.
- In a bowl, combine the olive oil, tamari sauce, mirin, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create the marinade.
- Add the shiitake mushrooms to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
- Place the marinated mushrooms on the grill, gill side down. Grill for about 5 minutes, then flip and grill for another 5 minutes or until they are tender and have nice grill marks.
- Remove the mushrooms from the grill and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve warm as a side dish.
