Ingredients
- Salmon fillets - 2 x 150g
- Miso paste (white or yellow) - 2 tablespoons
- Honey or maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce (or coconut aminos for Paleo) - 1 tablespoon
- Rice vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic (minced) - 1 clove
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Green onions (sliced) - 2 for garnish
- Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the miso paste, honey or maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover and marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes, or up to 1 hour for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade.
- Grill the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
- Serve the Yaki Miso Salmon garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
