Ingredients

  • Sweet chestnuts - 200 grams
  • Zucchini - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red bell pepper - 1 medium, cut into chunks
  • Shiitake mushrooms - 100 grams, stems removed
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Maple syrup - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Fresh ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Green onions - 2, chopped

Steps

  1. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  3. Add the sliced zucchini, red bell pepper, and shiitake mushrooms to the marinade, tossing well to coat.
  4. Peel the sweet chestnuts and toss them in the remaining marinade.
  5. On the grill, place the marinated vegetables and sweet chestnuts, cooking for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are nicely charred and tender.
