Ingredients
- Ground chicken - 200 grams
- Shredded cabbage - 100 grams
- Green onions - 2 stalks, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Egg - 1 large
- Almond flour - 50 grams
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Ground black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, shredded cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, egg, almond flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Lay out a small amount of the mixture onto the center of a gyoza wrapper (if using). Fold the wrapper in half and pinch the edges to seal. Repeat until all filling is used.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place gyoza in the skillet, making sure they are not touching.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden and crispy. Add about 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately with a lid to steam the gyoza for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the lid and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow any remaining water to evaporate. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
