Ingredients

  • Silken tofu - 200 grams
  • Maple syrup - 3 tablespoons
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Cornstarch - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh fruit (such as strawberries or kiwi) - 100 grams

Steps

  1. Drain the silken tofu and wrap it in kitchen towels to remove excess moisture for about 10 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, soy sauce, and water to create the glaze.
  3. Once the tofu has drained, cut it into 1-inch cubes and lightly dust with cornstarch.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil if desired.
  5. Carefully place the tofu cubes in the skillet and cook until golden on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Pour the glaze over the tofu cubes and continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the glaze thickens.
  7. Remove from heat and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  8. Serve warm with fresh fruit on the side.
