Ingredients

  • Fresh corn on the cob - 2 ears
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Miso paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Honey or agave syrup - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 1 stalk, finely chopped
  • Toasted sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, miso paste, honey (or agave syrup), sesame oil, and chili flakes to create the glaze.
  3. Husk the corn and remove all silk strands.
  4. Brush the corn with the glaze mixture on all sides.
  5. Place the corn on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning frequently until the corn is charred and tender.
  6. Once grilled, remove the corn from the grill and brush with any remaining glaze.
