  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Cucumber (sliced thinly) - 100 grams
  • Avocado (sliced) - 1 medium
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions (chopped) - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, wasabi paste, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a dash of sesame oil.
  4. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. While the patties are cooking, prepare the wasabi mayo by mixing the mayonnaise with a teaspoon of wasabi paste in a small bowl.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  7. To assemble the burgers, place a beef patty on a lettuce leaf, top with avocado slices, cucumber, green onions, and a generous dollop of wasabi mayo.
  8. Fold the lettuce leaf over the filling and serve immediately.
