Ingredients

  • Ground chicken - 250 grams
  • Miso paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Panko breadcrumbs - 30 grams
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Lettuce - 2 leaves
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Cucumber - 1/2 medium, thinly sliced
  • Wasabi - 1 teaspoon
  • Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground chicken, miso paste, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, panko breadcrumbs, egg, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the wasabi mayo by mixing wasabi and mayonnaise in a small bowl.
  5. Toast the burger buns lightly in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  6. Assemble the burgers by spreading the wasabi mayo on the bottom bun, adding a leaf of lettuce, the cooked patty, slices of tomato, cucumber, and finally topping with the other half of the bun.
