Ingredients

  • Sake kasu (sake lees) - 100 grams
  • Firm tofu - 200 grams, cubed
  • Baby spinach - 100 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon, for garnish

Steps

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the julienned carrot to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
  4. Add the cubed tofu and stir gently to combine, cooking for another 2 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the sake kasu with 200 ml of water and soy sauce until smooth.
  6. Pour the sake kasu mixture into the pan, stirring gently to coat the tofu and vegetables.
  7. Add the baby spinach and cook for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  8. Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
