Ingredients

  • Pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Nattō (fermented soybeans) - 100 grams
  • Tomato sauce - 100 ml
  • Vegan mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
  • Fresh spinach - 50 grams
  • Red bell pepper - 1 (sliced)
  • Green onion - 2 (sliced)
  • Miso paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
  4. Sprinkle the vegan mozzarella cheese on top of the tomato sauce.
  5. In a bowl, mix the nattō with miso paste and a little bit of olive oil until well combined.
  6. Spread the nattō mixture over the cheese layer on the pizza.
  7. Top the pizza with fresh spinach, sliced red bell pepper, and green onions.
  8. Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds and black pepper.
  9. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, slice, and serve.
