Ingredients
- Ground chicken - 300 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons (or tamari for gluten-free)
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Shichimi togarashi (Japanese spice blend) - 1/2 teaspoon
- Wooden skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, salt, and shichimi togarashi.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a sausage-like roll around a wooden skewer.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Lightly oil the grill to prevent sticking.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Serve the skewers warm with additional soy sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice.
