- Ground chicken - 250 grams
- Green onion - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon
- Egg - 1, lightly beaten
- Tare sauce (store-bought or homemade) - for serving
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, green onion, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, salt, pepper, cornstarch, and beaten egg.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined and sticky.
- Wet your hands and form the mixture into small meatballs, about 4-5 cm in diameter, until all the mixture is used.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly oil it to prevent sticking.
- Grill the meatballs for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through and nicely charred.
- Serve warm with tare sauce drizzled over the top or on the side for dipping.
