Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 30 ml
  • Mirin - 15 ml
  • Sesame oil - 10 ml
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Corn tortillas - 4 pieces
  • Shredded cabbage - 100 grams
  • Carrot - 1 medium, julienned
  • Green onion - 2 stalks, sliced
  • Cilantro - 20 grams, chopped
  • Lime - 1, cut into wedges
  • Sriracha - to taste

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the chicken breast and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. While the chicken is marinating, prepare the vegetables: julienne the carrot, slice the green onion, and chop the cilantro.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the marinated chicken. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
  4. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet for about 30 seconds on each side until pliable.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing a few strips of chicken on each tortilla, then top with shredded cabbage, carrot, green onion, and cilantro.
  6. Serve with lime wedges and Sriracha on the side for added flavor.
