Ingredients
- Pork belly - 150 grams, thinly sliced
- Carrot - 1 medium, sliced
- Daikon radish - 100 grams, sliced
- Negi (Japanese green onion) - 1, chopped
- Tofu - 100 grams, cubed
- Miso paste - 2 tablespoons
- Dashi stock - 700 ml
- Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
- Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- In a pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the sliced pork belly and sauté until browned.
- Add the sliced carrot and daikon radish to the pot, cooking for about 5 minutes until they start to soften.
- Pour in the dashi stock and bring to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in the miso paste until fully dissolved, then add the soy sauce, tofu, and chopped negi. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
