Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Green onions - 2, chopped
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into thick slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
  3. Place the tofu slices in the marinade and let them soak for at least 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little sesame oil.
  5. Add the marinated tofu slices to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste during cooking.
  7. Once cooked, remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions and black sesame seeds before serving.
