- Firm tofu - 300 grams
- Soy sauce - 2 tablespoons
- Mirin - 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Green onions - 2, chopped
- Black sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Pepper - to taste
Steps
- Press the tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into thick slices.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade.
- Place the tofu slices in the marinade and let them soak for at least 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little sesame oil.
- Add the marinated tofu slices to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste during cooking.
- Once cooked, remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped green onions and black sesame seeds before serving.
