Ingredients

  • Firm tofu - 300 grams
  • Miso paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Mirin - 1 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce - 1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions - 2 stalks (sliced)
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium heat.
  2. Drain the firm tofu and cut it into 2 cm thick slices.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
  4. Brush the miso mixture generously over the sliced tofu on both sides.
  5. Place the tofu slices on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and slightly charred.
  6. Once cooked, remove the tofu from the grill and place it on a serving plate.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
