  • Mirin - 2 tablespoons
  • Brown sugar - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh ginger, grated - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Sesame oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Green onions, sliced - 2 tablespoons
  • Sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Steamed broccoli - 200g (for serving)

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour the teriyaki sauce over the top, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. While the salmon is baking, steam the broccoli until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
